Empowering the region: Unveiling the Hunter Women in Business Network

SHARE

In the heart of the Newcastle region, a powerful and dynamic group has been quietly but effectively shaping the landscape for female entrepreneurs and professionals.

And, the Hunter Women in Business Network (HBWN) is determined to continue that path for many decades to come.

For more than 28 years, the not-for-profit organisation has been a driving force, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds to connect, learn and thrive in the business world.

It’s something president Kristina Bircsak is particularly proud about.

“We’ve been empowering women since HBWN’s inception,” she said.

“With more than 180 members and counting, this passionate network has served as a thriving hub for fostering personal and professional growth.

“HBWN provides a supportive and inclusive environment where women can exchange ideas, access valuable resources and form lasting partnerships.

“But, we also celebrate its visionary past and present committee members, who have been the motivating force behind its success.”

The Hunter Women in Business Network recently welcomed the Newcastle Weekly on board as its new media partner.

This collaboration aims to amplify the voices and achievements of inspiring women throughout the region and beyond.

And, by partnering with the HBWN, the Newcastle Weekly reaffirms its commitment to promoting diversity, empowerment and positive change.

A highlight this month, on the group’s event calendar, is the upcoming evening function at Noahs on the Beach.

YOUtopia WELLbeing’s Fiona Brown will be the guest on Wednesday 9 August, which promises to be an enlightening experience for all attendees.

“Fiona is a highly-experienced life and personal leadership coach, motivational speaker and author,” Ms Bircsak said.

“So, don’t miss this opportunity to learn from her and discover the keys to living a life of least regret and most joy.

“Tickets are available at https://www.stickytickets.com.au/827kr/hbwn_august_event_2023.aspx

“We’re also thrilled to announce Territory Relations and Intimate Health as the event’s generous sponsor.

“Their support demonstrates a shared vision of fostering a more inclusive and dynamic business landscape in the Hunter.

“The venue, Noahs on the Beach, offers a warm and welcoming ambiance, to encourage meaningful connections and spark new ideas.

“So, attendees can look forward to engaging discussions, networking opportunities and an empowering atmosphere that will leave a lasting impact.”
